The department plays an active role in the follow-up of chronic diseases, preventive healthcare and in conditions that require joint evaluation with other specialties. The patient's overall health is approached holistically.
The department offers a broad scope of services including endocrine disorders, respiratory and gastrointestinal complaints, kidney and urinary tract assessments, and metabolic diseases. Routine check-ups and the evaluation of cancer screening tests also fall within the department's scope. When deemed necessary, patients are referred for further testing or to the relevant specialty unit.
